You guys have to leave livejournal right now and get an account at greatestjournal.com.
It is JUST like livejournal except it has a lot more features and ALL of it is free. You get more with a free greatestjournal account than with any paid LJ account. Plus it's not like you have adjust to a new interface because it is EXACTLY the same.
Needless to say I won't be using this journal anymore. I'll come back to read my friends' page but hopefully you'll all make the switch to GJ, because otherwise you're just wasting your time. Okay. All types of people shop at Wal-Mart, meaning if you work there, you will encounter every kind of trash imaginable.
Some trash is kind of subtle... like this girl I saw yesterday. She, fortunately, did not come through my register, she was at the one diagonal from me. She was below-average height (but not necessarily short), skinny with your basic just-got-out-of-my-kindergoth-phase dyed black hair wearing a shirt that says "I <3 PENIS"

Otherwise, me and every other lesbian-inclined girl in the store would have pounced you immediately... because you are just THAT HOT. 1984 (the version with John Hurt and Richard Burton, NOT the black and white version which I have never seen)
Orwell Rolls in His Grave (a documentary about the scary direction American politics is heading toward, it just finished yesterday and I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet but it's supposed to be good)
Godzilla x Mothra x Mechagodzilla : Tokyo SOS! (one of the newer Godzilla films, really sticks to the old format... I loved it)
Shaun of the Dead (the best horror parody EVER... though Charles insists it's really just a straight up zombie movie)
Adolescence of Utena (movie based on the anime Shoujo Kakumei [Revolutionary Girl] Utena... doesn't make a lot of sense but it's fucking BEAUTIFUL)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Michel Gondry! w00t!)
Ju-on: The Grudge (the original Japanese version of the new horror flick coming out, The Grudge... I was exhausted and fell asleep while Charles was watching it but what I saw of it looked really good)
Man Bites Dog (amazing French film done in the style of a documentary... *everyone* should see this movie)
Tale of Two Sisters (beautiful Korean horror film... I loved it)
The Creature from the Black Lagoon (really good, black and white copy)
Eraserhead (all hail David Lynch!)
I am in the process of downloading Kill Bill (both volumes) and The Tall Guy.
I downloaded a copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban but something is wrong with it. It came in two files, and the second file works but the first doesn't. When I figure out what the problem is I'll tack that onto the list as well.
That's all of the movies I can think of off of the top of my head. There might be more, I'd just have to look and check with Charles because he keeps all of them on CD-R. I do have some TV shows... like Twin Peaks... I have the entire first season (which are DVD quality copies) and up to about episode 7 of the second season (which are crappier VHS quality copies). I have a few episodes of the original Twilight Zone... which have Spanish subtitles... dunno why. If you're into anime I have DVD quality copies of episodes 1-19 of Neon Genesis Evangelion and I'll be downloading the rest shortly. If you haven't seen it, it's really good... even if you're not into anime you might really get into it... it's a very complicated, layered and involved show.
I don't have a DVD burner, so I will just have to burn the file on disc and you can watch it on your computer or burn it in DVD or VCD format yourself. Charles hooks his laptop up to my TV via an S-Video connection and that's how we watch our stuff.
Just let me know what you want... I have tons of CD-Rs and I'm feeling generous. I'm willing to mail stuff, too... so if you're out of town doesn't hesitate to ask.

I saw Alien Vs. Predator today... omg! I completely fucking creamed myself.
Every time I see a good sci-fi/horror monster movie, my love for movie monsters grows deeper.
If you could be any movie monster, who would it be and why?
It's hard for me to say who I would be. I really love the cheesy monsters that aren't intimidating at all... such as any of the monsters from the Godzilla series. I'd probably like to be Mothra or Monster Zero. Maybe Rudolph from Looney Tunes, even.
But if I had to pick between being an alien or a predator, it's hard to say... probably a predator because their technology is so awesome... and they're hunters. The aliens do look cool as fuck though... *sigh*

I have had the worst trouble sleeping as of late. Getting to sleep is difficult, and I often wake up more than once... which is very unlike me. When I'm awake I'm tired... I fell asleep on Heather and Suzanne's floor last night.
So for whatever reason... when I came home at like 3:30 this morning I decided it was a good idea to try to cut bangs. I cut them too short and they don't really look good... but I can fix my hair so that you can't really tell it's any different. I'm fucking retarded.
Anyway... I don't care... because I'm going with 50poundnote and Charles to see THE CURE today... and that makes me way fucking cooler than you.

Charles stopped by for a bit when I got off of work yesterday and I copied about 5 gigs worth of music off of his little portable hard drive thing. I have complete collections for The Clash, The Cramps, Massive Attack, New Order, Bauhaus and Iggy Pop... plus a bunch of stuff by Coil, The Black Heart Procession, and Godspeed You Black Emperor. While I was at it, he made me take some stuff out of a folder of cover songs that he has... I have Devo covering Head Like A Hole, Echo and the Bunnymen covering People Are Strange, Eva O covering Killing Moon... and a million and a half covers of How Soon Is Now.
Eva O's cover was way bad. I officially hate her... almost like I hate Charlton Heston. You can't call yourself Evil Eva and marry and divorce ROZZ WILLIAMS and become a CHRISTIAN ROCKER and change your name to Eva O and do BAD COVERS.
He also had a bag full of Donna's nasty sweaty clothes in his truck, which happened to contain a shirt she basically stole from my closet. He asked if I wanted it, and I told him yes and he brought the nasty thing in... WOW. Yuck is all I can say, really... I pulled my shirt out, then we took the bag to the dumpster... mwahahaha... that was so oddly satisfying and I don't know why...
He left, then I got cleaned up and Larry came over... he gave me his Rasputina CDs, and I'm also borrowing his 12 Rounds CD and Preacher... which I haven't really gotten a chance to read yet. This weekend should allow me some time, as I don't really plan on seeing anyone. But yeah... we sat around and talked, watched some TV and went to go hang out with Fat Andy... I planned on staying out later than I did but I was just too tired...
I had The White Stripes stuck in my head ALL DAY...
The days at work have been going by pretty fast. I'm off Tuesday through Thursday, so that's nice at least. I was really tired today and I didn't have plans with anyone, so I took me a nice hot bubble bath and went to sleep. I woke up around midnight, and I've been fairly grumpy ever since... I just need some more sleep I suppose.
Aaron and Heather start their jobs tomorrow, so this now means most of the people I hang out with on a regular basis are employed. I don't know how Heather, Suzanne and I are going to be able to coordinate our schedules to go apartment-hunting. I'm sure it won't be a problem, but that was something I was sort of thinking about today.

I've been trying really hard to listen to Skinny Puppy's Greater Wrong of the Right with the most open mind I can... but I just can't get over how non-Skinny Puppyish it is. It's non-Skinny Puppyish in a BAD way.
